Home Depot Center
The Home Depot Center is a sports complex located in Carson approximately 13 miles south of Los Angeles. The 27,000 seat main stadium is regarded as the top soccer venue in the United States and nicknamed "The Cathedral of American Soccer."
It opened in June 2003 and is also the home ground for Major League Soccer clubs Los Angeles Galaxy and CD Chivas USA. Both the United States women's and men's national soccer teams use the facility for training camps and matches. It was also the site of the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup final.
The center also features state-of-the-art stadiums and facilities for tennis, track & field, cycling, lacrosse, rugby, volleyball, baseball, softball and basketball.
Its title sponsor is major hardware retailer The Home Depot. The $150 million complex was developed and is operated by Anschutz Entertainment Group, who owns Los Angeles Galaxy and Los Angeles Sol.
