My national team

Brazil women's national team has as their male counterparts participated in all of FIFA's World Cup tournaments, but it hasn't been until lately that Brazil's women has revealed themselves as a major power on the international scene.

Marta made her debut for the national team at the age of only 17 in 2002 and since then Brazil has reached the final in every international tournament, they've participated in.

With Marta on the field Brazil won the 2003 South American Championship and the 2003 and 2007 Pan American Games, while they lost the Olympic finals in 2004 and 2008 both times to the United States and the World Cup final in 2007 to Germany.

Marta is currently the all time topscorer of Brazil women's national team. As of April 30, 2009 Marta had scored 47 goals in 47 matches.
