Marta nominated for Swedish awards

Marta is competing with Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the Price of Honor of the year in Swedish Football.

This Monday Sweden is to decide who is going to receive the major football awards of the year in the country.

At the prestigious Fotbollsgalan in Stockholm the majority of the Swedish football establishment will be present for the annual show.

Marta, however, will not be able to participate as she is in Morocco to play the Match Against Poverty, invited by Ronaldo.

Marta is nominated as the best female attacker of the year with Lisa De Vanna, Jessica Landström and Manon Melis as the other candidates. Marta won the award last year.

Marta is also nominated for the special Price of Honor, a price whose winner will be decided by the TV audience for the show. The other candidates for this award are Inter star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Janne Jönsson who is the coach of Norwegian champions Stabæk and Pia Sundhage, the coach of the Women’s national team of the USA.
